About us
My name is Nicolás Barrós, I'm 37 years old. I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I hold a Master's degree in electronic engineering. I've been an avid mountaineer for over 12 years, and this passion continues to burn brightly within me. It's where I find happiness, peace, and tranquility.
The main idea behind the location device emerged in recent years when we began using satellite messaging gadgets like the Garmin Inreach and the Spot Gen4 on our mountain expeditions. I realized that It was possible to create a system to interpret this positional information and transform It into something like the one we offer today.
3D Mountains is the result of blending my expertise in electronics with my love for the mountains and 3D printing. It all began with fridge mountain magnets, then came the laser positioning technology, and who knows what's next on the horizon.
